Students Raising Hands In Classroom

Attendance

Kingdom Come Academy wants every student to succeed! The first step toward a great year is to be in school all day, every day.

Children who are not in school are missing out on learning. Each time a child misses school, their classmates are still learning and moving forward. Children can quickly fall behind if they are not in school every day.

If you have a family situation that makes it difficult to get your child to school on time, talk to the teacher, parent coordinator, school social worker, or principal. They may have ideas or solutions to assist you.

Attendance Guidelines

Review the tabs below regarding KCA's attendance guidelines. Kingdom Come Academy and the Governing Board reserves the right to make changes to the attendance guidelines at any time with or without the notification of the students, parents and/or guardian, but will furnish a copy of the change(s), if any, to the students, parents and/or guardian at their request.

Excused absences include family emergencies, medical appointments, personal illness, legal or funeral/family/religious obligations. Any of the mentioned absences must be accompanied by a phone call or letter (from the parent and/or guardian) to the KCA administrators.

Sickness/Illness

When to keep a sick child home from school? School is important, but sick children need to stay home. Any student who experiences symptoms, such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, or symptoms related will be sent home unless other arrangements have been made.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend class every school day of the school year.

Parents and/or guardians are expected to contact the school to report any absences or tardiness, otherwise, the absence will be marked as unexcused.

Report an Excused Absences

An absence will be excused only when a parent/guardian notifies the school.  You may contact the school office at 414-617-9274 to notify us of a student's tardiness or absence.

  • Contact the office before 9:00am to report student's tardiness or absence.

  • If your child sees a health care provider, ask for a medical excuse that your child can give to the school.

  • Work with your child's teacher to make up any missed assignments or tests.
